Missouri Valley Conference Schedule Set for Spring 2021

On Thursday this week the Missouri Valley Conference released their 8-game conference schedule for all teams, including NDSU.

The schedule is as follows for the full Bison season (2020-21):
10/3/2020: vs. Central Arkansas 2:30 PM CT
2/21/2021: vs. Youngstown State TBD
3/6/2021: @ Indiana State TBD
3/13/2021: vs. Illinois State TBD
3/20/2021: @ South Dakota TBD
3/27/2021: @ Missouri State TBD
4/3/2021: vs. South Dakota State TBD
​4/10/2021: @ Northern Iowa TBD
4/17/2021: vs. North Dakota TBD

This year's schedule will feature some notable matchups. It is believed that the Oct 3 game against Central Arkansas will be Trey Lance's last game as a Bison.
The March 13 matchup will be a rematch from the very close game between the Redbirds and the Bison from the 2019 FCS Quarterfinals.
On April 3, the Jackrabbits come to town for the yearly battle for the Dakota Marker as both teams are yet again expected to come down to the wire.
On April 17, the Bison will play the University of North Dakota for the second time since the Fighting Hawks realigned with NDSU and several other area schools. This season is officially UND's first season in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. UND joined the Summit League for all other sports except for Hockey back in 2018.

April 17 will be the last regular season game for the Bison, with the 2021 FCS Playoffs selection show on April 18. This season's FCS playoffs will be reduced to 16 teams instead of the usual 24.
